Embroidered Rag Quilt

Mary T tell us that she is “a 74 years young female, who has always enjoyed sewing for myself, family and as a hobby. I have a Brother 770D. At the time of purchase, I was guided to Embrilliance to accompany my machine. Perfect choice! So much fun.

I created the rag quilt as gift for a new baby boy in my family. The quilt was accepted with graceful appreciation, and will be cherished for many years. It was lots of fun to make, and it could never have materialized without Embrilliance. it has been very user friendly from day one, and has not disappointed me, ever. The birth statistics were created using the built in fonts from Embrilliance Essentials.  The designs are from Etsy and were sized, merged, and placement templates were all done in Essentials.

Such a lovely gift that will be cherished for years to come!  If you would like to see your project featured in our projects blog, you can send us pictures and information about it using this link.

Embroidered Knitting Bag Gift Set

Kathy R. sent in this lovely project she made with the help of Embrilliance software.  “This is a quilted knitting bag I made as a Christmas gift for my daughter- in- law. I just recently discovered Embrilliance Express and BX fonts and now I want to put words and names and monograms on everything!”

“I love being able to preview and audition several fonts in this program without having to load each one up to my embroidery machine.”  Your lettering style choices are perfect for your projects and we are glad to hear that using the Embrilliance software made these selections easier!

Personalized In The Hoop project

So many people love to create “in the hoop” embroidery projects because the entire project is completed “in the hoop” and very little hand sewing is required.  One such project in the “stuffie” category is this cute “peek-a-boo” bunny from Ann of A Creative Medley.

If you visit her website, you will see quite a variety of in the hoop embroidery designs!  Ann has been digitizing for years and has recently started using Embrilliance StitchArtist to create her designs and Essentials and Enthusiast to customize them!

Adding personal touches like names and dates, is an easy way to create that one of a kind gift for someone special.  And since you are making the item “in the hoop”, you can add these personalized details during the construction process so that you end up with a completely finished product – a real classy designer look!

Monogram Applique Bia Bag

Lisa S. created a beautiful designer purse by adding a coordinated tonal monogram applique to the project.  The purse pattern is the Bia Bag by Pink Pony Design and the embroidery files are from DigiStitches.  This was Lisa’s first attempt at machine embroidery applique and we think it was a gorgeous success!

Hooded Sweatshirts for Christmas

Diane & her husband have a wonderful tradition of making gifts for their family each Christmas.  “My husband helped me make 56 hooded sweatshirts for his parents, our kids and grandkids, and ourselves for Christmas 2016. The design layout is a composite of meaningful places and items in our family’s lives.  I had to skip some colors on some of the individual designs to lighten the design. Merging six separate designs and overlaying the words was a daunting task for me. The ability to remove underlying stitches is great!”

I had to read over the project submission a second time – did she really say they made 56 sweatshirts?  So I just had to double check with Diane, and that was no typo!

“We have nine living children, all married. They have given us 34 grandkids so far. We try to keep the cost of Christmas gifts at $10-$15 apiece, and the only possible way to do that is to make things. It has become a tradition. Every year they are excited to see what this Christmas is going to bring-pillows and pillowcases, slippers, tote bags, cowboy vests and chaps, dress shirts and ties-that’s a few years.

I am so happy I found the Brilliant Embrilliance Facebook group! I don’t get to do embroidery near as much as I like, because I’m a work from home seamstress. And I get very frustrated when I can’t figure out what to do on the software. I think sharing ideas and questions is going to be immensely helpful.  thank you again. And I definitely couldn’t do it without my husband. He hasn’t tried embroidery yet, but used all of his vacation in the month of December to sew those hoodies. He did way more of the actual sewing machine work than I did. I couldn’t keep up with him, measuring and cutting, pinning, etc.”

What a great story, and we thank Diane for sharing it with us!  If you would like to see your project featured in our projects blog, you can send us pictures and information about it using this link.
