The goal is to lower the number to allow for more stitches, not raise it. 25% is a good starting point. Nothing is written in stone. Yeah, density is one of those things- the lower the number, the more dense. Which is what you want going from 40 to 60 wt thread. Don't forget to get a smaller needle ...

I thought I had placed an answer to my own suggestion -- I haven't figured out if there is a keyboard key to push to get smaller increments, but for now to prevent a jumping/hopping move, I'm selecting two points. They move smoothly and without jumping/hopping to far. Then if needs be, I delete the ...

moving points - smaller increments

Stitch points almost always ends up jumping beyond where I want them to be when moving. Smaller increments would be ideal addition to Embrilliance for single stitch points.

Wow, all this time and no one has had a suggestion. So I'll answer it myself for you if you have the same question.

Turn off the underlay. Create your own underlay stitch in a zig zag or perpendicular style. Don't don't boarder the underlay, insetting is ok with a single running stitch.

Embroidering on t-shirts use a smaller needle point with a ball end - 70/10 or 65/9. Use a thin cut-away stabilizer. A nylon mesh no-show will work great. Check your density also, go as light as you can. Oh, you may have to ease up on your machines tension.
