Appliqués

Post by Patti Cake » Sat Oct 04, 2014 10:31 am

I have the scan n cut and love the new feature in Essentials to create the cut file. I am having a challenge when trying to place fabric that has been cut down to applique. I can't seem to place it just right it will barley cover the stitch line on one side and be too far over in the other side. Anyone have a tip or two for me. Thanks

This Video may help you.

She uses a bit of fabric glue on the back of the Applique Pieces before placing them over the positioning line.
She also makes the cut files larger using the inflate option before saving the cut files.

What amount of "inflate" are you using when making your FCM cut file within EE? I use 1.5mm and that has worked fine so far for me. I did a video on how i did it on my youtube channel, but you can increase it up to 3mm, just realised the link above is to my video :D
