Making sure your machine stops for applique designs

Setting objects to be an applique position or applique material is a feature of the Embrilliance Essentials working file. They allow you to create cutting files as well as trigger the "remove hidden stitches" if you overlap applique designs.

The stitch file format doesn't care what these applique settings are, it cares about color breaks. So if you want your machine to stitch the applique position, stop, then stitch the applique material, stop, then stitch the finishing stitch, then you need to make sure that these three objects are 3 different colors. The sample shown here will NOT stop after it stitches the applique position because the position and material are the same color.
