Identifying specific colors

Post by Admin » Sun Dec 19, 2010 5:03 pm

...When you are changing colours in the thread chart it would be
nice if you could just double click to change the colour and not have
to press ok every time you want to change a colour.

It would also be handy to have numbers or something next to the
thread colours so you know which thread change it is. If you have a
large design with many colours I am finding I am having to manually
count down the list to see what colour change I am at. It would also
be nice if there was some indication on the actually design what item
you are colour changing.
The double-click feature has been requested (See the feature request forum) and will probably make it into the release version.

There are currently numbers for each design and each color. They are in the Object Tree. Just expand a design by double-clicking on it. You will see Design:Object as numbers.

When selecting a design you brought it, it is grouped. Clicking on it in the main view will select the group. Clicking on a color in the tree will select just that color. It is shown to be selected by both the handles on the main view and the selection state in the tree. (Blue background = selected).

If you want to ungroup the design, simply select it and use Ungroup from the menu or Ctrl-U.

All this is described in the PDF. However, we realize there could be more in the PDF so there is a Manuals and Errata discussion in the forum as well.
