‘Tis the season for pumpkins, colorful leaves, ghosts and bats! Check out the funky vibe of this gothic bat corner design when variegated thread was used on the satin column. Our friend Lisa Shaw of Bubbles’ Menagerie created this design using StitchArtist for use with “glow in the dark” thread. After seeing some very “stripe-y” results with variegated thread on lettering, she wanted to see if she could get a “Nightmare before Christmas” or “Beetlejuice” style using black/white variegated thread – BINGO! For more information on the thread she used in her version of the project, please visit her blog post on her website.
