To all of you, we wish a Merry Christmas and Season’s Greetings!

Would you like an early present?

With the release of Christmas Traditions we’re also releasing an update that supports it, 1.167.

But why stop there?

We have also released 1.168 which includes presents for Essentials and Enthusiast owners!

Essentials users will enjoy a new font, Block Condensed, digitized by our own Erich Campbell. This font is highly useful for commercial-style embroidery and it includes a full set of alternate language glyphs.

Enthusiast owners, rejoice in the new Parametric Knockdown™ stitch!

For most purposes, the Knockdown that we released all those years ago has done well. In fact the entire industry has now copied our little global underlay phenomenon and no one would want to embroider terry cloth without it. With that success, we’ve seen where Knockdown could be used on other media, if we allowed the user to make some small changes, such as bi-directional stitching and variable inflation.

We hope you all enjoy these presents, and we look forward to you sharing with us pictures of what you are making! We love to see the products in use.

    1. The platform has had no issues with Big Sur, nor thankfully, any of the Mac OS or Windows OS changes. For a 10-year run, we’re happy about that! Thanks for asking.

    1. The program version check will be updated this week. Not every product is affected by every update so we don’t always push the update out to everyone (we foresaw the backlash that Microsoft and Apple are currently facing with their policy regarding updates). Plus if anyone wants to try it, the current version is always available on the Downloads page. It’s different, but we’re old enough to know not to fix it if it isn’t broken.
