Spring is in the air, though our friend Lisa Shaw of Bubbles’ Menagerie still has snow outside her sewing room window in Colorado! The weather has encouraged some inside activities for our Lisa, such as creating this lovely sketch tulip design in StitchArtist L2.

The vertical text showing SPRING is easy to create using the quick styles in Essentials! When you choose Single line text for your lettering object, the Styles pull down menu is set to “Normal” by default; simply change it to Vertical and BOOM – the text you have entered is instantly changed to a lovely centered and evenly spaced vertical arrangement. You can’t get much easier than this!

The BE file that provided below has SPRING set in the Penny font from our Font Collection 1. If you do not have Font Collection 1, the font name shown in the Font menu on the Letters tab will be set to the first font in your list. This simply means that you do not have Font Collection 1. If you want to make changes to the lettering, you will need to choose another font from your list.

The design is provided in our native .BE format, enabling you to save a stitch file for any embroidery machine. If you aren’t already an Embrilliance owner, we provide a free method to use our software called Express Mode that will not only allow you to use any of the wonderful free designs found in our project blog, but also enables you to install and create basic text treatments with fonts distributed in our popular .BX format produced by many embroidery design creators.

  1. I have just stitched out your Mylarcandle design and I think it is so beautiful. I hope I can find more design for stitching on this film.
