Fonts added to Embrilliance Essentials
The 7 fonts added to Embrilliance Essentials include the following:
ACE Barrel
This font has a similar look to variations on Cooper Black and other similar serif fonts. Being an ACE font, it is All Caps for Enveloping, meaning that it has been altered to have equal-height characters for the entire font, making it warp really well in shaped envelopes. If you ever wondered how the warped fonts work in ACE-1: The Rewind, this font will give you a taste. Just head over to our free envelopes post linked here, and grab the free library of envelope-bearing designs. Select the lettering objects, choose ACE Barrel as your font, and type in your new text to see it warp precisely to the shape.
Bold Cursive Connected
This enhanced version of our existing Bold Cursive font now contains automatic connectors, making it as easy as simply typing a name to get perfect alignment on all of your connected letters. You can see in the comparison above how different this version looks to its predecessor without any manual adjustment. You’ll find several fonts among those we’ve added that include this incredible time-saving feature. Personalizations, or ‘name drops’, have never been faster to create than with these specially-prepared cursive and connected scripts.
Brush Script Connected
This classic brush script is similar to the most widely used script fonts in embroidery. This rendition of Brush Script was edited to open up the counters (holes) in some of the smallest characters and refined for use at a wider range of sizes than versions you may have used in the past. The name ‘Brush Script Connected’ means that this new font also includes the aforementioned automatic connectors to make your names flow continuously with little to no alteration. Just type in your text, hit enter or Set, and your lettering is perfectly spaced and aligned as shown in the name above.
Curly Q
One of the many wonderful fonts found in the Monogram Wizard archives, this version of Curly Q has been updated with additional accented and special characters and punctuation. It benefits from refined shapes made to serve a larger range of sizes. Similar to the Harrington typeface, this decorative font is a fantastic and fancy addition to the collection.
Curtis Script Connected
This foundational embroidery font has been a part of personalization throughout the history of modern machine embroidery, becoming a favorite for many organizations. It’s frequently searched for, being the official name font for some FFA jackets, but you’ll find similar typefaces in use on all manner of official uniforms. This version of Curtis Script is refined and updated with new accented characters and the automated connectors unique to the Embrilliance platform. Like the other ‘connected’ fonts, this one is made for speed, letting you quickly create names without adjusting every letter.
Philly Connected
This new, ‘connected’ version of our existing Philly font allows you to type names with minimal adjustments, just like the other selections. With its extreme italic tilt, you may have to shift the occasional capital letter, but every lowercase glyph slides perfectly into place. Its contrasting combination of slim run-stitch lines and shining satin stitches make any version of Philly a stylish choice.
Varsity Flair Connected
This sporty script is another beloved choice for personalization. Regularly used in uniforming and team sports, we couldn’t help but build on this font, adding a range of accented characters, updated punctuation, and our signature automatic connectors. This connected version makes the classic script exceedingly simple to use when adding a name to your next jersey, practice polo, gear bag, or uniform.
Fonts added to Font Collection 1
The 3 fonts added to Font Collection 1 include the following:
Connecting Script
This automatically-connected script is one of the most requested and searched for fonts in our embroidery forums. Inspired by an old-school zig-zag font used in some of the oldest embroidery shops, similar typefaces are still in use by major companies that monogram and personalize. You’ve probably seen a version of this elegant script on a Christmas stocking or linens from companies like Pottery Barn, to name one of many that favor this lovely lettering. Our Connected Script was redrawn based on observations of original samples, expanded to include a wider range of accented characters and punctuation, and provided with stylistic alternate letters that more accurately fit with the sensibilities and style of modern machine embroiderers. Whether you need a near-perfect match for pieces you already have in hand, or want to explore a vintage style without giving up convenient automation or characters that look more uniform in presentation, Connecting Script is made for you.
Sweet Script Connected
This tall, swirling script is another favorite from the Monogram Wizard archives. It strikes a perfect mid-century chord while staying legible and simple to stitch. Our version has been refined for greater scalability and provided with alternate characters and automatic connectors to make it even simpler to use.
Vacant
Yet another magnificent selection from the Monogram Wizard archives, Vacant was based on classic mid-century signage, making for a striking silhouette. With its high-cast loops, swirls, and unique shapes, Vacant is a wild and wonderful typeface for those who want to add some motion and interest to any text. Our version is refined for a wider range of potential sizes and benefits from the addition of several stylistic alternate characters to make the text more legible.
Fonts Added to Font Collection 2
The 3 fonts added to Font Collection 2 include the following:
Awesome Dots
This fun font is another selection from the Monogram Wizard archives. This 2-color typeface comes with revised shapes and regularized dots to make for a more uniform presentation as well as additional special characters. This is the quintessential font you think of when you hear ‘dotted lettering’.
Parlor
Parlor is hands-down the most requested and most highly-anticipated font we’ve brought to you from the Monogram Wizard archives. Our reworked version of Parlor omits heavy junctions, regularizes shapes, and provides you with an alternate capital ‘A’ to allow both styles of this critical letter to be typed as full-height capital letters. Add to that a newly crafted ampersand for those all important bridal monogram placements, and you’ve got a clean, clear, and highly-scalable update to one of the embroidery world’s favorite fonts.
Worms
This funky, whirly font is called ‘Worms’ and makes up the final selection in our latest set of additions. Another wacky, wonderful font from the Monogram Wizard archives, Worms contains all the spirals, loops, and whorls you could want in a font. We may not know what you’ll stitch with this fun little font, but we improved the shapes and prepared it to be big and bold, so we hope you’ll have fun with whatever you think needs a little bit of its trademark whimsy.
