Welcome in the new year with this lovely design created by our own Lisa Shaw in StitchArtist Level 2, working with art from Sanqunetti Designs.
Doubling the Use with Two Defined Colors
Lisa created this design with two colors, giving you the versatility to make it your own. Having these two separate color blocks in the design makes it incredibly simple to chose two coordinating thread colors. Here, you can choose one for the text and one for the wreath to match your embellishment project. The bonus reason for these two colors is the ease of removing or copying elements into a second design. The text is decorative enough to be used on its own and the wreath frame is a great surround for other designs. Lisa envisioned it as a perfect complement for a single initial or monogram, perhaps even as a matching decoration for pieces in a set with this pretty blessing!
Changing Designs to a Single Color
Though the color changes are useful, you may want to stitch this design in one continuous color like our sample. Luckily, the Embrilliance Platform offers a tool called 1 Color. Though you can simply hit your embroidery machine’s ‘Start’ button when the first color finishes, why do it manually? Imagine a 10 color design you wanted to stitch in a single color; you’d be constantly pressing ‘Start’. Rather than spend all that time managing your machine, use the 1 Color tool! Simply click the 1 Color button in the Color tab of the Properties Pane to set the color of all selected objects to just one! Remember, if you don’t select any objects, all objects will be set to the same color when you click 1 Color.
The design is provided in our native .BE format, enabling you to save a stitch file for any embroidery machine. If you aren’t already an Embrilliance owner, we provide a free method to use our software called Express Mode. It will not only allow you to use any of the wonderful free designs found in our project blog, but also lets you install and create basic text treatments with fonts distributed in our popular .BX format produced by many embroidery design creators.
