Our own Lisa Shaw created a design for all embroiderers with a special 4-legged helper camped out in their sewing room! No matter if your furry cutie is a cat or a dog, this design will be an adorable embellishment for the upcoming holiday!

Lisa Shaw digitized this cheeky word-art embroidery design using StitchArtist Level 3. It takes advantage of the native BX font super powers for customizing. The “Valentine” lettering object was created using Curly Q font added to Embrilliance Essentials in the 1.190 Embriliance Platform update. Like all native fonts, Curly Q has super powers! If you want to know more about how to change stitch types, underlays, and more in your native BX fonts, check out this blog post!

One of our favorite super powers of the Embrilliance native fonts unlocks with StitchArtist 3. StitchArtist 3 owners can to convert lettering objects into the many objects that make up the letters! Having access to these objects lets you manipulate and change them in StitchArtist 3‘s Create mode. In this design, Lisa converted ‘Valentine’ to objects so she could easily delete the dot over the ‘i’. With the lettering object converted, she simply selected the original dot in the object list and pressed the delete key! With the dot removed, she then digitized a small heart in its place to create her cute, customized lettering!
Note: You can’t edit, retype, or alter words once they are converted to objects. Be sure to check spelling before you convert!
The design is provided in our native .BE format, enabling you to save a stitch file for any embroidery machine. If you aren’t already an Embrilliance owner, we provide a free method to use our software called Express Mode. It will not only allow you to use any of the wonderful free designs found in our project blog, but also lets you install and create basic text treatments with fonts distributed in our popular .BX format produced by many embroidery design creators.
