Thank you for continuing to stay home and stitching projects!
We’ve seen you adding the #Embrilliance and #StayStrongStitchOn hashtags on your posts, and we couldn’t be more proud of all you’ve made!
For the fourth day of our ‘Stay Strong and Stitch On!’ campaign, we’re showing respect and love to our first responders with an in the hoop bookmark project created by Lisa Shaw of Bubbles’ Menagerie using the Star of Life design!
SSSO #4: In the hoop Bookmark featuring the Star of Life
This awesome, quick-stitching little star of life created by our own Erich Campbell has been incorporated into an in the hoop bookmark project! If you were at a loss at what you might make with it, this will enable you to make great gear for your local emergency medical technicians.
We have included two versions of this bookmark – one with a stitched eyelet for the tassel and one without so that you can add your own grommet/rivet in place. The lettering that we added to our sample is using the Exotic font from Font Collection 2. If you do not have this font collection – use any of the native fonts or stitch based BX fonts that you have installed into your program.
For those looking to change things up – did you notice that we simply inserted the Star of Life BE working file into this design so that it will stitch out after the placement and tackdown design? YES, this means if you have another small design that you would like in its place…simply go to File > Merge Design, select the small design and move it to the correct spot in the object pane! Rotate it as needed and make sure that it is centered in the bookmark. Use the Star of Life design as a visual guide and when you are done, just delete what you do not want! We would be SERIOUSLY jazzed to see you post photos tagged with #Embrilliance and #StayStrongStitchOn showing your unique customized versions!
You can download the zipped file that contains the in the hoop bookmark design featuring the ‘Star of Life’ embroidery design with lettering placeholder with both the eyelet and plain versions. The included PDF file includes customizing and stitching instructions.
The design is provided in our native .BE format, enabling you to save a stitch file for any embroidery machine. If you aren’t already an Embrilliance owner, we provide a free method to use our software called Express Mode that will not only allow you to use any of the wonderful free designs found in our project blog, but also enables you to install and create basic text treatments with fonts distributed in our popular .BX format produced by many embroidery design creators.
